Ostelsheim\/Sindelfingen December 10, 2025<\/strong> \u2013 On November 26, 2025, SOTEC GmbH & Co KG from Ostelsheim (Calw district) acquired Avatec GmbH, based in Sindelfingen, as a 100% subsidiary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 2009, Avatec specializes in surface finishing through vibratory grinding (mass finishing). In addition to meeting technical requirements such as deburring of highly complex contours, the finest grinding media can also achieve polishing finishes that meet the highest standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SOTEC looks back on 45 years of experience in the development of digital solutions and has, in recent years, focused on core areas including the digital transformation of industrial processes and AI-supported, automated quality controls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strategic Addition for Digital Transformation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to continuing the existing trade in grinding machines and necessary consumables, the merger of the competencies of both family-run businesses will create new offerings in the field of digital manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avatec will continue to operate as an independent company at its proven location at the Sindelfingen Flugfeld and will be developed into the \u201cDigital Industries\u201d competence center in the medium term. The management of Avatec GmbH will be taken over by Thorsten Saggau, previously Head of Products at SOTEC<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The previous Managing Director, Andreas Haller, will remain with Avatec as a consultant, contributing his many years of expertise. The SOTEC management would like to explicitly thank him for the trust and cooperation, without which a seamless transition would not have been possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
