We headed to Ulm for our company excursion this year! This awesome city is located at the \u201cDanaube River<\/a><\/strong>\u201d and famous for the \u201cUlm Minster<\/a><\/strong>\u201d, which has the tallest church spire in the world. We were ready for a weekend packed with action, culture, and amazing food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ulm, Here We Come<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Our bus left right on time in Ostelsheim. Everyone was in high spirits and super excited for the weekend ahead.  We met up with our colleagues at the hotel in Ulm \u2013 some had already arrived on their own or the day before. Then it was time to kick off our first activity!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Face-Off Ulm: A Test of Teamwork and a Whole Lot of Fun<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

It was time for action! At Face-Off<\/strong><\/a> Ulm, we had a chance to prove our teamwork skills. We were split into random groups and had a blast playing games and completing challenges in different rooms. All that action worked up an appetite, so we headed to the Barf\u00fc\u00dfer Hausbrauerei<\/strong><\/a> for a delicious lunch with local specialties and freshly brewed beer. Refreshed and re-energized, we checked into our hotel and had a little time to relax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ulm \u2013 More Than Just a Big Church: Exploring the City as a Team<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In the afternoon, it was time for some culture! We all met up at the Tourist Information at M\u00fcnsterplatz to start our guided tours of Ulm. We had the choice of two captivating options. The first option was a historical journey through the \u201c<\/strong>Fishermen\u2019s Quarter<\/strong><\/a>\u201d, including a visit to the majestic \u201c<\/strong>Ulm Minster<\/strong><\/a>\u201d<\/strong>. We gained fascinating insights into the history and architecture of both the city and the \u201cUlm Minster\u201d. The other option was a fun and interactive city tour with questions to answer<\/strong>. This unconventional tour took us off the beaten path, revealing intriguing anecdotes and challenging our knowledge of the city. Following our guided explorations, we enjoyed some free time to discover the city at our own pace, soaking in the atmosphere and uncovering hidden gems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dinner Time: Seven Fish Hits the Spot<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We met up again in the hotel lobby that evening and headed out to the restaurant. The restaurant \u201c<\/strong>Seven Fish<\/strong><\/a>\u201d<\/strong> delighted us with a mouthwatering selection of fresh fish, succulent meat dishes, and flavorful vegetarian options. The cozy ambiance and lively conversations added a delightful touch to our dining experience, creating a perfect ending to a memorable day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Fortress to Fungi: A Unique Finale to Our Trip<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Our final day in Ulm began with a leisurely breakfast and check-out from the hotel. We then had the option to enjoy a scenic walk along the \u201c<\/strong>Festungsweg<\/strong><\/a>\u201d <\/strong>(federal fortifications walk) <\/strong>to the Wilhelmsburg<\/strong><\/a> or take a convenient bus ride. But the real highlight was waiting for us at the Wilhelmsburg: a tour of the \u201c<\/strong>Burgpilz<\/strong><\/a>\u201d mushroom farm<\/strong> in the old fortress cellars! We delved into the fascinating world of mushroom cultivation, gaining insights into the growing process and admiring the diverse varieties on display. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Final Stop Merklingen: A Satisfying End to Our Journey<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Our final stop was Merklingen<\/strong>, where we enjoyed a farewell lunch at the \u201cOchsen<\/strong><\/a>\u201d restaurant  for a relaxing lunch to wrap up our awesome company trip. With full bellies and happy memories, we hit the road back to Ostelsheim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ulm Rocked: A Toast to Team Spirit!<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We headed to Ulm for our company excursion this year and it was absolutely amazing! We enjoyed a diverse program filled with action, culture, and culinary delights. The atmosphere was fantastic and we were able to grow closer as a team. A big thank you to everyone who organized this wonderful trip!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
